Privacy Statement
Privacy Statement
Personal information submitted to the journal website will only be used for the specified objectives and will not be made accessible to any other party.
Journal Volumes:
The journal publishes one volume per year, appearing on December 1st. The volume may have several issues. Each issue may only include 15 articles at max. Accepted articles will be published on the journal website as soon as the editorial staff approves them under certain issue.
Publication Criteria:
- Each article should offer results of primary scientific research.
- The results must be unique, and experiments, statistics, and other analyses are highly technical.
- Experiments, statistics, and other analyses are done to a high technical quality.
- The results and conclusions must be well-presented.
- Articles have to be well-written in standard English or based on the journal-approved language(s).
- The research should satisfy all relevant requirements for research ethics and integrity.
Peer Review:
- PLOMS journals are peer-reviewed journals that follow a strict editorial screening and evaluation procedure.
- Initially, there will be an in-house check on conflicts of interest, financial disclosures, and other policy requirements. Also, the in-house check initiates an internal audit to test for conflicts of interest, financial disclosures, and other policy requirements.
- Second, suppose the paper quilaity passes the intial screeining by one of the editorial board members. In that case, the paper is assigned to one journal editorial member who assigns appropriate reviewers.
- Reviewers make recommendations (accept, minor or major revision is needed or reject).
- Third, the assigned editor may conclude his/her decision to the EIC. The EIC consults the section and/or scientific editor before making a decision. Then, the authors are notified of the decision.
Repetition of submission and publishing
- PLOMS journals accept only original content, i.e., unpublished papers.
- Manuscripts submitted to PLOMS journals must be withdrawn before being submitted elsewhere.
- Authors who have publications accepted elsewhere may face sanctions.
To submit a paper based on previously published or under review work, authors must reference the prior publications and explain how their submission differs from their earlier work. The authors are responsible for seeking permission from the copyright holder to reuse their own figures or large portions of text.
PLOMS journals will accept expanded versions of conference papers if they are explicitly referenced, addressed in the previous edition, substantial additional material, and all relevant rights are acquired. Duplicate publishing of the same or very identical paper may result in retraction and sanctions for the authors.
Citation
- It is not allowed to boost the number of citations to a specific author's work or to other research articles. Upon discovery of such behavior, the paper will be rejected.
- Editors and reviewers must not ask authors to cite their work. The EIC will remove the journal's reviewer and/or associate editor.
Fabrication and Dishonesty
discovered fabricated articles of falsification of the results would be retracted, and authors will face sanction.
Authorship and acknowledgments
All authors must have contributed significantly to the research article. Submissions from anyone other than an author will be ignored.
Conflicts of interest
- The following conflict of interest statement has to be written in the paper :
"The author(s) declares that there is no conflict of interest with the publication of this paper,"
- Declared conflicts of interest will be reviewed by the editor and reviewers.
- Any funding has to be reported in the paper.
Reviewers & Editors
- Reviewers must disclose any relevant interests in the 'Confidential' section of the review form.
- Editors and reviewers must disclose any prior discussions with the authors.
PLOMS PUBLISHER JOURNALS - PLAGIARISM
PLOMS publisher will assess any incident of plagiarism on its limits. Suppose an editorial board member, reviewer, editor, etc., detects plagiarism before or after acceptance or during editing. In that case, the associate editor will notify the authors and ask them to modify the content or cite the sources. If more than 25% of the material is plagiarized, the article may be rejected, and the author may be informed according to the EIC decision.
All articles submitted for publication are screened for plagiarism before review.
Manuscripts with plagiarism are addressed depending on the level of plagiarism.
- 5% Plagiarism: The paper is assigned an ID and submitted to the author for modification.
- 5- 30% Plagiarism: The paper is returned to the author for modification.
- 30% percent Plagiarism: Manuscript is rejected. The authors should rewrite and resubmit their work.
The Journals will investigate plagiarism found after publication. An institution and funding agencies will be notified if plagiarism is identified.
Self-plagiarism is a problem. A copyrighted work is self-plagiarized when reused exactly or almost verbatim without citing the original source. A past publication by the author (e.g., in conference proceedings) is not considered self-plagiarism if a clear reference is provided to the earlier publication. The reused material does not need quote marks, but the source must be credited.
